First seen in late June, just days before being officially unveiled as part of Jordan Brand’s Fall 2020 collection, the Air Jordan 1 “Bio Hack” launches on Friday, September 4th.
At quick glance, the pair’s “Baroque Brown” “Racer Pink”, and other disparate hues may seem more suitable for the experimental Jordan 1 Mid, but they grace the High in honor of a city that’s embraced Jordans for decades: Tokyo. The eye-catching palette resembles the bright lights all-over Japan’s capital, infusing a modern sensibility into the heritage silhouette. Overlays throughout the shoe boast soft suede that may not make a statement with their color scheme, but do so with their premium construction. Unlike most other iterations of the Jordan 1 High, this “Bio Hack” version features an embroidered tongue badge instead of the vintage-style “NIKE AIR” branding. Underfoot, the high-top retro forgoes any tried-and-tested arrangement in favor of a predominantly faint neon green sole unit.
