After being part of the Japanese brands stand against injustice release, Verdy is now back with another set of shirts that supports the #BlackLivesMatter movement.
The two T-shirts from the Japanese creative serves as his stand against racial injustice, police brutality and inequality. Going on to note how he and his Girls Don’t Cry brand has continuously been inspired by the black community culture. One design sees Verdy’s VICK character exclaiming “STOP RACISM,” while the accompanying design simply sees “BLACK LIVES MATTER” expressed in Verdy’s signature typography.
Utilizing his platform to help raise awareness, proceeds from the sale of the limited items will be split evenly between GirlSpace Compton, SUMMAEVERYTHANG, Black Artist Fund and Transgender Law Center.
Verdy’s #BlackLivesMatter T-shirts are set to be available for pre-order at 7 p.m. PST June 26/11 a.m. JST June 27 pm the Girls Don’t Cry website.
